Virtual Learning Platform

You may have heard your child talking about the Virtual Learning Platform (VLP).  This is a website set up by Sefton which allows pupils, teachers, parents and governors to interact and collaborate on a number of levels.

For you child this will chiefly involve:

  • homework online
  • access to class work for completion at home
  • quizzes and tests
  • surveys
  • group work within their own class or between classes
  • collaboration with other schools eg webcams, conferencing

  • To develop high levels of staff confidence and competence
  • To access and enhance pupils learning beyond the classroom
  • To involve their family in their learning journey
  • To apply their ICT knowledge, skills and understanding to a range of situations
  • To contribute to the strategic direction of ICT within school 
  • To build relationships with outer learners through a range of communication methods
