School's Mission Statement

" I have come that they should have life and have it to the full." John 10: 10

Inspired by the teachings of Christ, Saint Edmund's and Saint Thomas' Catholic Primary School encourages and guides our pupils and all our school community to have a strong sense of service, love and compassion. In this way, they are encouraged to develop a vision for what they want to achieve with a zest for living life to the full.

Love Learn and Live like Jesus

Welcome to the website for St Edmund's & St Thomas' Catholic Primary School, Waterloo.

St Edmund's & St Thomas' is a Roman Catholic Voluntary Aided School which offers primary education to children within the ages of 4 to 11 years.

We also have a Nursery which has morning and afternoon sessions. Please speak to Ms Bowden for more details.

NOTE: acceptance in our nursery does not guarantee a place at the school.

The school caters initially for the children of the parishes of St Edmund of Canterbury and St Thomas of Canterbury but accepts children from a wider area who fulfil the admission criteria.

We aim to provide a caring, vibrant and stimulating atmosphere in which your child may flourish and we hope that this site reflects this. Both this section for parents and the section devoted to the children are updated so please do use this as a resource in which to participate in the school life of your child. Of course not all visitors will have children at the School. We hope that these visitors will gain a small impression of the hard work and enthusiasm which pervades the School.

This section of the site is intended to give you some information about St Edmund's & St Thomas' Catholic Primary School. It will give you an idea of our aims and how our school works. We hope to establish an understanding and co-operation between your child and family, the School and all who work in it, and the local community and parish within which we live. We are all concerned about your child's development and hope that you will share with us in making these years at St Edmund's & St Thomas' happy and successful years.

We hope that you will feel part of our School community and share our aims and achievements.

Please feel free to contact the School at any time to seek further details or clarification from Mrs Sue Blackwell. Our telephone number is 0151 928 5586.
