Year 3S Mrs Sugden 2021 - 2022
Our School Mission Statement;
"I have come that they should have life and have it to the full." (John 10:10)
Inspired by the teachings of Christ, St Edmund's and St Thomas' Catholic Primary school encourages and guides our pupils and all our school community to have a strong sense of service, love and compassion. In this way, they are encouraged to develop a vision for what they want to achieve with a zest for living life to the full.
Welcome to our class page!
Hello Everyone
It's hard to believe but it's that time of the year at again - the beginning of a new school year. Welcome back!
Year 3 and 4 are the Engineers of our School. We will have a curriculum heavily focused on engineering skills including DT and Science. On Friday's we will have our 'Exciting Engineering' time, where we will be exploring the curriculum from an engineering point of view. We are very excited about our new curriculum.
Here is some important information for our class...
- Our class starts at 8.55am and finishes at 3.05 pm. Drop off and pick up are at the usual junior gate.
- PE days are Tuesday and Thursday. The children will not be getting changed for PE. Children are welcome to come to school in their PE kit or just wear their trainers on that day. As the weather gets cooler remember to wear a tracksuit.
- On Monday, Year 3 and Year 4 will be completing their 'Golden Mile Challenge'. Trainers can be brought in for this, as we will be running on the field.
- All children should bring a water bottle (clearly labelled with their name) to school to keep on their desk. If your child has packed lunch please remember to ensure that they are able to open everything themselves and that grapes and cherry tomatoes need to be cut in half. This is for safety reasons.
- Children don't need to bring any extra equipment to school with them as we are providing everything they need in class.
- Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns or need to share important information. You can email or call the school office and any messages will then be passed on to me

- Homework will be given on Google Classroom. Also, please make regular use of Timetables Rockstars and Numbots.
